University of Applied Sciences Dresden

The University of Applied Sciences Dresden (HTW Dresden) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Saxony, Germany, with over 5,000 students and around 200 professors. It was founded in 1992 and offers more than 40 study programs across disciplines like engineering, economics, design, and informatics. The university emphasizes practical education, supported by its strong collaborations with over 150 industry partners. HTW Dresden has a modern campus near the city center, equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities, including its library with over 250,000 media resources. Internationalization is a core focus, with over 70 partner universities worldwide and programs taught in English to attract global students. The HTW Dresden actively integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into its research and teaching, offering specialized courses and conducting innovative projects in areas like smart manufacturing, autonomous systems, and data analytics.
